Don't know what a Nixie is, but have an idea, looks more like some guitar amp tubes to me, kinda' strange though Nice work!

Fantasic! I love vacuum tubes. I used to have a 1962 Fender Bassman head that I would turn around backwards so that I could watch the glow of the tubes.
