I almost expect to see little green and orange fae fluttering around the branches glowing in the yellow rays of the low sun. They would be busy doing mischievous things like casting lust spells on unwary passing humans. And then fashioning their trade mark 'Glowy Orbs' which they would trade for whiskey at the local pub. Ah, thoughts of whimsey. A lovely dedication for your friend too.
What a delicious image; the light is so perfect in this, so alive and golden without being overpowering. As you might expect, I'm listening to a soundtrack now, the score to The Hobbit, and the song of "Misty Mountains" (the quieter version) in conjunction with this image recalls a slow, journey down a river, while someone on the boat in question sings a dirge-like song as moss hangs from trees, catches the light, and generally adds a mood and a half to the already present mood. This is a brilliant image that enhances the music I'm listening to as I soak in the details.
