Description

This is less about the USS Essex and the F6F's than it is about the fact that after many attempts and many failures and much puzzlement over a ridiculous amount of time, I finally figured out how to get Beyond VR's USS Essex to work in Vue without crashing. (Many @$&@$#$@%$#%!!!'s were expended during the effort.)"V"! F6F-5: Motokamishii Ya here on Rendo (not sure if it's still available though. If it is ,check it out!)Re-texturing done in my basement paint shop. USS Essex and Hellcats: Beyond VR free at sharecg.com re-texture Chris Schell (thanks Chris!) Deck Crew and pilot figures: Epici low poly Enemy LWR01 decked out with cobbled finery from here and there. Cinema4d6XL, Poser8, Vue6Infinite, PS Cs3

Great render! I managed to miss the Hellcats in the store the first time round- comes of getting too tied into the thirties perhaps- but I really should snaffle them if they re-appear. Carrier, deck activity and wake looks top notch. I've used the Essex model in Vue before, don't recall any specific problems... though I've certainly taken to backing up Vue scenes as I introduce more and more objects... just to be sure it doesn't all go pearshaped in a crash. Just has to happen once... ;-)
