Description

Today I will start a new little series, which is based upon an older series of mine (see my gallery) back in 2007: The Dolomites. Just to fresh up your memory a little: The Dolomites (Dolomiti in Italian language) are an Italian part of the Alps. This year we (my wife and I) have spent nearly 3 weeks in Val Gardena / Gröden / Gherdëina. In this case 3 names means 3 different official languages: Italian, German and Ladini (the latter being a very old language). So be prepared to be bored with some shots of this (imho) beautiful part of the world in the upcoming weeks. Above picture shows the 'Fischburg' (Fish Castle) which is located just above Santa Cristina in Val Gardena. Unfortunately it is not open to the public, so I can only show a picture from the outside. Beautiful image of "Castel Gardena" (this is its name in Italian) ! I love Dolomites. They are one of my favourite for holidays ... waiting for next images ^_^
