Description
Oni are not known for being cheery, calm people--but our Gil is just that. Pelu Gil'runyantas (watch that glottal stop, it's a killer) was much loved by his clan-mothers for his sweet personality as well as his good looks. He's 7 feet tall, with masses of golden hair and violet eyes as well as six horns (the middle pair is very small and never is seen in all that hair). And he's pretty smart, too. Altogether, a prize and the clan-mothers had a fine trading chip in him, as good breeding males, even this long after the bio-bomb, were still scarce and sought-after.
He's remembering the Male Cloisters of his clan-home back on his homeworld, where they kept the few males of clan Pelu, the Golden Ones. The how and why are long stories, I'm afraid, so I'll save that for another time (heh heh!). Anyhow, it was warm, and he mostly never wore clothing there.
He was taken from Pelu (have I told you this before?) because they--quite illegally--taught him to read and write. He was sent to the prison caverns under their capital city, where the violent and crazy males (and there were plenty of them) were left and used as research subjects. And that's how he met both Coruanu and Kaminski, and was taken from there to earth when the Gotth came to fetch Kaminski home.
