Description

FE Gen Newton. Lacquered in Flaming Pear. That time of year....a sharp frost at 3.00a.m. this morning. I'm glad I put hay round my tender Abutilon last night. Went to get a couple of apples out of the garage only to find that one had been half eaten by a mouse. Now, I don't begrudge the little creature anything, apart from when he ate all my beans in the Spring, but there are plenty of apples on next door's lawn, off their tree. Today I fill up the hole in the woodwork. He can eat al fresco!

Fabulous. It's an eruption of autumn. Looks like a hoary frost has settled on this fractal. 3 a.m., huh? Was it the sharp crack of a hard frost that awakened you? ...or maybe a little mouse chewing the woodwork? Wonderful image....all of them!

Such an energetic piece, The warm colours against the dark have a bonfire look. It can be hard to know if you are keeping your mouse out or locking him in, they are so good at hiding.
