Photo taken of an old photo at the Fort Screven (Tybee Island) Museum. It did not say who this was, but I thought the quality of this old print was exception, and I wanted to share it.
Be sure to view it full size for some amazing detail, thanks!

What an image! I love antiques like this, mostly because things age so beautifully, especially when they were beautiful and well-crafted to begin with. I don't know who this soldier is, but he possesses the sort of idealized handsome regality that only gets better with the patina of age. I love the dominance of the sepia tones, the soft lighting, and the rich sense of texture you've captured here. This is quite marvelous work with a wonderfully Old World feel to it.
