Description

Okay, I think its evident that I have a bit of animosity towards the daz dragon :P heh. Despite the fact that I do love that dragon. It was a HUGE improvement over the old zygote one. And they continue to make it better. They just need to adress the membranes, heh, but that's my opinion. Anyways, debated on what to post next. This is something I'd been toying with for a little while. Still haven't got my old pc back together, so I still haven't repaired the grouping issue, but hopefully I'll get the time to do that soon and can wrap this guy up for beta. Thanks for looking, and thanks for the kind words towards this beast so far. Cheers Swidhelm PS. Just like to add that the painting that keeps getting mentioned--if its the one I think it is--was painted by Jeff Easly. It's on the cover of a TSR art book as well as have graced Dragon Magazine many more times than once. May also have been the cover for The Legend Of Huma of the Dragon Lance series, but its been a while. I can't recall. Just thought I'd toss that out there. :)

Great work but in my opinion I don't think the wyvern stands a chance against a red dragon, even if its a very young one. This fight is as good as over!!

It reminds me of this old famous d&d painting and I can't for the life of me remember who did it lol I hate that. Anyways excellent job on this, very dramatic epic battle scene.

The main thing I believe makes your's more realistic, is the serpentine look and feel and it's just a better concept. Cool render.

It's not just the wings, it's the whole dragon that's been reworked. Truly this is a next-generation dragon!!!! The look of it, it's says menacing, I am the destroyer, I am the God of the sky. This is beyond awesome, it's just incredible! Swidhelm you're the Man!!!!!!!

WOW! That Dragon is stunning. I really like the texture improvements, specifically the pattern on the membranes. Superior design my friend!

I think the painting you're thinking of was used for the Council Of Wyrms box set as the cover for one of the books.

Some people think this is a Wyvern, it's not. It's similiar in body shape, but make not mistakes, this is a DRAGON. Not sure the wyverns can breathe fire. Rent Dragonslayer and you'll see what I mean. With every image you make, I want this dragon more and more. Believe me, I love Daz's dragon, but it will be great to have a new and different species to play with. Now all we need is a saddle and we'll be all set. By the way, have you looked at McFarlane Toy's line of Dragons? Great inspiration can be found there. Not that it seems you need it.
