Description

Hi everyone, Spent a long time on this one - basically a mix of Photoshop painting, photo collage (all my own or royalty free from sxc.hu). I'm working on a series of images based around the magic of childhood - the first was an image called 'Wonder'( http://excalibur.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1260017&member ) With this one I wanted to try and capture the idea of Imagination - I'll leave the interpretation up to the viewer ;) Hope you're all well and thanks for looking, Phil

Excellent.I think it would be even better if the child was a bit larger so that his features were visible.

Totally excellent. I wouldn't change a thing. It has something of a Parrish look to it. I like the child being small. It gives the feeling that the world around him is so much larger and a bit threatening. Just lovely.

Thanks guys - you nailed it, bonestructure - he's supposed to appear small, but also safe, hopefully!

True Magic! The best kind, when you magic isn't something you believe in it is simply something that is! Funny how when we're little we don't ask if there are trees, magic or flowers. But when we get older we somehow must believe in magic in no longer simply exhists. Thanks BJ

That's just fantastic. I like the lighting and colours. I also think the way the boy is so small and practically in scale with the fairy actually emphasises the fact he's so innocent, small and curious.
