Throw-away test render which, on reflection, turned out much better than I thought. Too bad it took me 2 years to realise this. :)

Quite nice. The pose is a bit "stiff", but in general the picture is good. A bit like a portrait made from a reference photo rather than from a living model.

Apple_UK: I wish they were, but thanks. :) Hardly any of this stuff was meant for an audience, so I'm a bit apprehensive about sharing it. Helleshoj: You're right about the pose, I think it was a stock one. I was more testing the character in a variety of different lighting and poses, and this is one just turned out better than most. I've spent the last few years learning lighting and facial expressions, making my own poses is probably the next step. Syyd: It's not based on her, but yes, I immediately noticed the resemblance the first time I saw True Blood. Hard to pin it down, but I think it's the kink in her upper lip (er, if that makes sense). Thanks for your comments everyone. :)

There is some search(research) in the shape of the face, in the expression. It is what what counts most for me, bravo, it is necessary to continue!
