Description

Your comments on realism are very much appreciated. I am currently using V3, and I'm debating as to whether to upgrade to Genesis2. Because of the substantial amount of money required for the upgrade, and time required to convert textures to new UVs, - before I make a decsion, I to to know if I have some level of competence in obtaining realistic looking skin. If not, I will probably stay with v3 (and I'm cool with that.) However, if the renders approach looking somewhat like skin, I may upgrade to genesis2 to aid in the illusion. Your input in this post and previous posts is greatly appreciated. In this image, I have come to a realization that I do like some level of "high contrast" on the skin. As I turned down the light to prevent the "washout" effect, I noticed that I do like the sweaty skin look. Again, thank you very much for your comments and help.

To me, this looks to be a big improvement! The contrast is high but not washed out. Good job! As for V3 or Genesis 2, I don't know if you have a prohibitive investment of time and money in V3, but I will say that Genesis 2 looks better in the "bendy" areas of the shoulders, elbows, and knees. Something to think about.

I agree with MrGorf regarding the contrast - you're using more-or-less the whole dynamic range now. But personally I still prefer your first version - however that's just down to my individual taste. :) Her bikini has more substance to it now - you may want to play with the textures a bit just as an experiment. Her hair still blends into the background - you may want to make her hair colour slightly less dark, or add some specularity.
