Description

While driving through the country In a cold wintry breeze My eyes were drawn to focus On an icy laden tree~ The branches were heavy As they yielded their load Finding comfort as if in mourning Oh, such beauty it bestowed~ Many years the tree stood so proudly Sharing lovely sights and sounds But today the tree was weeping Branches hanging to the ground~ As I gazed and wondered How can beauty be so sad Oh, winter tree bless you Lift you from nature's wrath~ Dry your fallen crystal teardrops Raise your limbs again restore All that mother nature gave you Standing straight and tall once more~ ((( It's been awhile since I have written a poem here on Renderosity and Tallpockets asked me if I was still writing poems and I had penned this one on another site and since tis the snowy season I thought I would pen this one here as well..For some reason couldn't get the thumbnail to upload on the main page.......))) As always thank you for your views and your comments Hugs and love Susan~

Very nice, both poetry and photo. One of the most beautiful sites of nature, snow or ice on bare trees. You've captured it wonderfully. ~jon

Oh that is very beautiful! Sorry it took me so long to get here. R'Osity wouldn't let me go anywhere for a day and a half! SQL server or something errors. I wish they would fire that SQL guy. ;o) Anyway, this is perfect for the season. VOTE

A most wonderful piece! I have greatly missed your writings. Thanks, kindly for sharing your brilliance. I hope your health issues are all behind you. BTW - this piece reminded me of the words of the Bette Midler song, THE ROSE .... "And in the spring - becomes the rose." My best, kind soul - TallPockets/brian.

Oh Susan, this poem and this image are just wonderful. IT takes someone who really appreciates the beauty of nature to paint it with words like you do. IT's been awhile and I have loved your writing for some time. Keep them coming please.
