Hmmm. Maybe if John applied several layers of clear lucite, his baskets would be strong enough to hold things. However, if they were filled with things, their beauty would be hidden! So maybe John should consider showing them off at the Harvest Festival as merely decorative objects! I love this one too, I could have a whole collection of John's baskets hanging from the ceiling!
