Description

Continuing from Under Tyrannical Skies. Suggested soundtrack: TRON Legacy Theme aka Daft Punk - The Game Has Changed (Mindless Faith Mix) The Paklet (BEO2K10 V2 and variants) © Mestophales & Sequestrian ***** The ships slowly passed over the two women; their engines emitting a low hum. To Angelina Torres, they looked like robot shrimp. She decided she wouldn't eat shrimp again if she survived. Those ships were two of many that invaded Earth en masse six months ago, bringing the machine race Paklet to add more chaos to a world that recently wintessed a civil war in Syria, a tussle between Russia and Turkey, the rise of the Islamic State in the Middle East, North Korea's constant spear-rattling... ...and the continued unwelcome presence of the vulpine Melani. Angelina seethed at the thought of the space foxes. This was THEIR fault, more so than the Paklet. They knew the Paklet were a threat and didn't do anything to stop them from coming to Earth, until it was too late. Because of them, the Earth began to burn. Slowly. The skies choked with the emissions of alien and human ships and the burning of fuels, metals, wood, and plastics. Forests and cities burned. Deserts blackened with char. Animal species previously considered endangered became extinct in the battles between human, space fox, and machine. So, she thought, now we humans are an endangered species as well. it is so easy to blame others for a catastrophe , when in this case it isn't even close.

Ignorance and fear are two heads from one snake. Like in the Herculean legend, you cut off one head and end up with two.

Awesome artwork and excellent story - I like how you've woven the current state of the planet into your story.

We should let the Paklet take out ISIS and N. Korea, then we take them out.
