Description

Hey there all, Sorry I've gone quiet again went to that 21st and gotta say it was one of the worst nights of my life... But it did push my own ability and I guess that's a good thing, also doing it I get my name out there and I can say I DID learn something from it... I DON'T EVER WANT TO DO EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR A JOB!!! LOL so still working through the images and I'm also now back to studying for summer :( Anyway hope you don't find this too boring... Planning to get me a Sigma 10-20mm as soon as possible so I can hopefully make these images a bit more "exciting"... Have a wonderful day/night out there...
Thanks for the kind words on my previous image (and sorry I changed the pic): My previous picture¯¿½¢¯¿½¯¿½¦ TNT, KTK

Hello my friend ! I don't think you need a special lens to take great pictures... You already have shooted some really great images !!!! This one, like the previous of this kind, is not really deep, and so more documentary than artistic. I just have one step in the ladnscape, not more... May be it's what you are looking for... ;o)

Not boring at all! Full of "punch" of life with all the wonderful green mosses and ferns also a gentle running calm water gives a fress feel to this forest shot. Sorry for your first experience with the event shoot. I am sure you have some photo with your high standard as alaways.

This is a very special capture and the close and intimate mood that goes with it is soothing but so very full of things to sit and look at. I know what you mean about event photography. I have done it every Yuletime for the past 4 years and I have again been asked to do a business Christmas function this coming weekend and I am already stressing. I have found that the more they drink the harder it is to keep them still enough to get shits that don't have chronic blur....LOL Oh well, Like you, no drinking (at least until I'm 2/3rd of the way through it) and I'll just take as many shots as possible, hoping at least a dozen out of 300 or 500 will be good enough to present to them in their Office 2007 Events Album.

I love this mossy spot you have found as it has a wonderful feel to it. A beautiful capture and a lot different from a 21st party.

Lovely pic, it has such depth to it. Maybe try going with somone who has done some events on a jaunt with them and get some tips and ideas. it would probably still be stressful but at least you can share the load and learn. One tip I heard last nignt was to 'shoot the kids first', (he did mean with a camera folks, tempting as the alternative may be at times.)before they got tooooo bored. Jen
