This is for Greywolf44, he knows why, memories are special thing and B-17's mean something to him..
Sally B flew a very lively display at Legends this year, as you can see by this angle, two engines running smoke not one.. (As a tribute to those that never returned.. All the names are on the walls of The American Air Museum at Duxford.. Its a surprising amount..)
This is the only B-17 flying outside the U.S. and the museum here also holds the only B-52, B-29 and Lockheed Blackbird outside the U.S.
Next post is something never seen before.....
Kept big for screen use!

When I saw the thumbnail and the smoke from 2 engines I though "Oh, no!". Then I read your text about tribute to the fallen. That brought back what I've heard about this a LONG time ago. Also. rare to see a bomber head on like this. Good photo. Keep up the good work! :-)
May Day, May Day!!! We took some flak in the port engines, so have some fire equipment down there when we try for a landing! Terrific drama in this great capture of the B-17, mate, as it barrels in after a bombing run over Essen. Sterling contrast and cloud cover.
