Hello Redosians ! I hope you are all safe and well and that you take great care of you and your family members in those pandemic times. Today I upload a panoramic capture taken in Görlitz-Zgorzelec located on the borderline between Germany and Poland. In fact, Görlitz (on the left) and Zgorzelec(on the right) is the name of the same town in both languages. Before WWII, Zgorzelec belonged to Germany but the Treaty of Zgorzelec in 1950 decided to use the river Neisse as a natural bordeline between Poland and Germany and the town was divided in two parts. I wonder how many towns had the same fate as Görlitz-Zgorzelec? What happened to families who lived on both sides of the river? Fortunately, nowadays, the European Union authorizes the freedom of movements for its citizens. Now inhabitants of Görlitz-Zgorzelec can shop or work wherever they want in their town. Amazing capture Both me and my wife had covid. I came of lightly. Had a dry cough. Severe sinus and fever one night. My wife was in hospital with pneumonia for six days. We are both fine and save. We had severe looting here in South Africa and i believe that will set South Africa further back. Many businesses were destroyed because of lock down. Many were without work before the covid pandemic hit us and so many more are without work. I am one of the lucky ones working at a power station that belongs to the city council of Tshwane (Pretoria).Received a salary every month . We are rotating at work and i am on duty for one week and of the next week but do receive my full salary even though I am not at work every week. I do stay and feel positive even though we are in such a mess here and world wide. Go well.

A nouveau une superbe photo cadrée dans les règles de l'art, avec de beaux contrastes et une perspective qui illustre bien l'atmosphère de cette ville du Nord de l'Europe. Les indications historiques tombent à pic pour se dépayser des actualités sanitaires ambiantes, en précisant au passage qu'il n'a pas fallu attendre la création de l'Union Européenne pour pouvoir se déplacer librement sur notre continent, et encore moins aujourd'hui avec le passe sanitaire ! L'essentiel est que tu as fait un excellent usage de ton appareil photo lors de tes vacances, bravo !
