Product Notes

In some situations - especailly with the mouth open - some portions of the Inner Mouth poke through the skin of Genesis' face when using the Gorilla character. This morph 'fix' aims to offer a quick and simple workaround for this issue until DAZ resolves it themselves. To install and use this fix... First unzip to the folder which contains the Genesis Runtime structure (not the Runtime folder itself - the Runtime folder's 'parent'). Alternateively, if you know what you are doing, you should be able to unzip it practically anywhere - it's really not too fussy/important about the location. In theory, DAZ Stduio 4 users should be able to use this morph to workaround the same problem if/when they choose to use the "Base" mesh resolution - for intructions on how to do this, please see your DAZ Studio 4 documentation (I don't know how to apply the morph in DS4, offhand). So - start by loading Poser 9, Poser Pro 2012, or later version of Poser that hasn't change dthe UI too much, and load Genesis, then the Gorilla shape. Some pokethrough is visible at this stage, though it gets much worse if you open the mouth and/or use "Mesh Smoothing" when you render. Select the head - the embedded animated .GIF image below shows one way of accomplishing this in Poser Pro 2012 with the Genesis figure as it is at time of writing. Select the "Properties" tab and press the "Load Morph Target" button. Browse to and select the "InnerMouthFix.obj" file. If you have installed this to your Genesis Runtime then it should be located at the following path within that folder: :Runtime:Geometries:DAZ 3D:Genesis:Fixes You may, of course, change the name of the morph if you wish, but I would leave it at default. You should now have a morph - called "InnerMouthFix" if you left it at default - available in the "Morph" group among the parameter dials of the head. Again, as shown in the animated image. You might, at this stage, find it useful to save the "Gorilla for Genesis" figure back to the Poser Figures Library by clicking the "+ Add to Library" button - just to make it easier to use the "fixed" Gorilla in future.
