Subject: Daz Studio with Vue?

Let me give you a little background on my question first.

I have been a Poser user since Poser 2.0. Originally, I used Poser for figures I rendered in Bryce. I bought a MetaCreations package with Poser, Bryce, and Ray Dream Studio. I never liked the Bryce interface, so I switched software to Vue d'Spirit (2.x) with an upgrade to Poser 3. In fact, I posted a tutorial on Renderosity back then on how to import and texture Poser figures in Vue (there was no Poser import back then).

I have continued using Poser (currently version 11) and Vue (2016) until recently. There was a great utility called SkinVue that would almost perfectly adjust the texture settings from Poser to Vue.

Well, Vue was bought out, spent a year with no presence, and now has gone subscription. The Poser import is still there, but SkinVue is "no longer supported" and imports look like shiny plastic dolls. Clothing looks horrid! And clothing with transparency.... well, I gave up last night after spending over an hour on one figure I tried to import.

So, the question now is how well does Daz Studio work with Vue importing. I will continue to use Vue regardless because of the way it "grows" plants, and over the years, I have hundreds of plants and have created hundreds of landscape textures.

Does anyone use Daz Studio with Vue? What kind of results do you get? Do you have to manually locate each texture? How do the renders look?

Thank you in advance.

Bonjour I used also Poser from version 1 to Poser 11 and Vue Infinite from the beginning (it was inside a french magazine) to version 2016 I also used DAZStudio ( now more than Poser) from its beginning When i want to export a scene or a caracter from DAZStudio to Vue , i beginning using obj format with textures ; most of the time it works ok and i save .vob format as objet for Vue Sometime the obj format have a problem with textures and i used collada format .dae instead Some textures , like metallic one , not always exported correctly to Vue I always begin with obj format because the meshes or objets exported with collada dae format have more often some deformation not always but sometime ( for example today a genesis 8 male on a mountain bike was exported to Vue first in obj format but some textures was missing so i have tried with collada but in Vue the front wheel was disconnected and some space from the bike so i keep the obj format and ajust some textures on it)
