Hi Fellow members,

I am new here in the forum, i am a product animation specialist and recently i have worked on project about trampoline where i i showed the trampoline assembly, it is a for a big trampoline company and i made a nice animation also but i stuck in rendering the grass, it is taking around 1.5 hours in rendering one frames, somehow i manage to render 1 trampoline video in about a month but now i have to render 2 more videos and i don't think so that i would be able to devote more 2 months as my system is busy now, can anyone suggest me the way to render the grass in 3Ds may.

Have a nice day.

Regards- John

You should look into some of the grass plugins available for 3dsmax out there. It shouldn't take very long, depending on your render engine. What engine are you using? If you have Vray, then look into using the Vray Scatter or Vray fur and Proxy to speed up the render. Other alternatives may include Corona, which has an excellent scatter option to render things like grass a trees much faster. There's tons of ways to approach grass rendering in 3dsmax, plus all the plugins and scripts out there could really speed up the workflow and rendering. I'd need to know what techniue you are currently using, and what render engines you could employ for the project before giving you any true advice.
