Any plans of putting the tutorial on youtube? I upgraded and I'd like to have the same advantages as everyone else.

Hello hihohiho,

Renderosity published it on their facebook page and it's free. Everyone can access it. I give you again the link:

You've got to be a part of facebook to view the tutorial, and, honesty, I've got better things to do.

@hihohiho, Sorry I had missed seeing your response before now. I have uploaded the hair demo to our YouTube channel. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/c6RBAvN-aI8

Thank you, thank you, thank you! That was most kind.

I have just started using the hair section of the product. Are there any specs user instructions other than the video clip, please?

I can get through changing a skull cap and hair imported to Blacksmith from my poser hair files as an HR.2 but see no option to export out as HR.2. What am I supposed to use as an export option? I actually can use an HR.2 in Daz. But is there an export as an option that will go directly to Daz?

Hello pruiz, Sorry this post was missed. To ensure the fastest response in the future, please start a new thread for support question or email info@blacksmith3d.com.

The manual for version 7 is on the product downloads now, in the top of our forum header and FAQ (https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?forum_id=12459&show_faq), and on our blacksmith3d.com support page (https://www.blacksmith3d.com/news.php?viewStory=60). I have pasted the link here to the manual for your convenience: https://www.blacksmith3d.com/files/Blacksmith3D-Manual-v7.pdf.

Typically, you should export as an obj. You can try doing the export as a DUF file, but there isn't a direct export to Daz Studio.

No problem re miss. I suspect that our Frech friend Fly028 is like the entire French nation on a beach somewhere so not checking his email this entire month. God bless him.

Thanks for the links.

So it seems that the .obj export as morph to an existing hair is the main way to go. Can .obj hair objects be made into a character in Studio?

Blacksmith3D ( ) posted Fri, 11 August 2017 at 3:32 PM

Yes, the obj export from B3D works well. I'm not too savvy with the DS software, but I believe that once you 'import' the obj into DS that you can save it as a regular DS (duf) file.

I'd love to be on a beach somewhere. ๐Ÿ™‚
