Subject: Morphing Questions

Ok--i have moved on from the painting and tileable brushes and sizing--I FINALLY GET IT!!!

Now it's Mighty Morphin' Time----Basically, I am watching the six part Paint and Morph videos which are all starting to make sense to me so I do understand the procedurals.

However, when I tried the morphing on my mac--I lost total control--could not be helped--no horse power. So I switch to my PC and things went MUCH smoother.

BUT

I am a MODEL HEAD SERIAL KILLER-----any tips on controlling and gently handing these tools. Also, I saw the demonstrator switch to a mesh mode--does this help with the morphing at all. Any tips on making this smoother would be helpful. I have watched the video, now I just need to learn to master these apparently sensitive tools.

PS---this program is kickin'!--Jay

Hello uresaman,

When morphing, you should use very low sensitivity values. As poser/daz scales are very low, one Blacksmith3d unit is like 10 daz and more for Poser unit. Usually, i go to 2 to 5 max, depending of the tool I'm using.

The move hammer is a good tool to "place" the general shape, playing with the "bulge" hammer help you finish the work. "Alt" inverse the tool.

Another thing is to use selection brush in order to only deform the area you need before morphing. (Press "s" after selecting to smooth your selection)

You can add in the display the wire frame overlay in order to better see what you are doing, but the must is to work with the concave shading display mode. You will be able to see if you are doing smooth morphing or deforming in a bad way

Hope it replies,

Best regards,
