Subject: Dynamic socks

Hey guys and gals!

In my experience with confirming socks, well, major fail. I know I can make V4's feet invisible, but for transparent socks (like sheer or whatever) it won't work.

I looked all over for dynamic socks but to no avail (except a couple very long ones that go with other dynamic clothes), so what I'm looking for is short dynamic socks for V4 (Poser) with and without ruffles.

I tried asking a couple vendors who make dynamic clothes a few months back, but they're not responding.

Can anyone make dynamic socks at all?

Yes they can. ;) http://morphography.uk.vu/Renderosity/V4sox.zip

Thanks so much, friend. Just downloaded, gonna have a look at it :)

It's only an OBJ file, UV mapped but un-textured. Part of some dynamic tights I'm working on, but if they're useful, go for it!

You made it? Thanks! Ok, I tried them. They work! I do have a slight problem getting them to resize to the shin, but moving the thigh in/out/back/forward seem to work. Resizing the pair doesn't really work as good.

It might be too much to ask, but gonna try it anyways, is there a way you can make single socks? One for the left and one for the right that you can parent to the appropriate feet? That would make it easier and quicker to resize without having to move the legs for them to simulate without falling off the shin lol.

If not, I'm fine with these ones, and again thanks so much!

Not a problem. As I said, I made tights originally and just chopped the feet off. It occurred to me later that might not be ideal for a non-stock size V4.

Try these: http://morphography.uk.vu/Renderosity/V4_LR_socks.zip

Try scaling the sox up slightly to fit at the beginning of the simulation and allow them to shrink back to 100% over the first 5-10 frames...

Thanks WandW, actually what I do is shrink V4 when I do simulation, especially top & bottom bikinis, and pants. Then I shrink the dynamic clothes, this results in tight fits.

Thank you so much, EnglishBob! :)
