Subject: how to work with linear space(renders too bright)

i just got maya 2016 and i love most of the improvements autodesk made only thing thats bugging me is i dont know how to control the brightness due the new linear space feature can somebody please give me a step by step method on how i fix this problem? and thanks in advance :-)

Sorry I didn't see this message before. TBH I have no idea because it's been ages since I used the Maya renderer (I'm working in games now), but I do know that you can set it to linear if you set the gamma value to 1.0 (that's the default). If they are too bright, you can lower that value. I'm not sure about Mentalray in Maya. I think I don't even have it installed.
