Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

I have a model, I want to make a normal map out of it, I want to edit the map in photoshop. I DO NOT WANT anything to do with transfer maps, I DONT have a HI poly nor a low poly. I just want a normal of my fuckin model to export and edit in photoshop.

That way lies madness! Which is why almost nobody does it. It's a thousand times faster to sculpt one - even in Maya and generate it using the mesh difference method.

However, if you really, really want to go for a ride on the crazy train, you can...

To create a default tangent space based normal map: Simply create a new empty file in Photoshop and fill it with a uniform color of RGB(128, 128, 255). That's the default tangent space based normals. That is to say, a canvas with a uniform fill of RGB(128, 128, 255) is a normal map with zero difference from the default normals. Also, for anything useful, be sure to paint it at least 16-bits per pixel or even 32-bits.

Good luck!
