Subject: Problems with saving Poser content for Daz Studio

ICRDesign ( ) posted Fri, 18 September 2015 at 6:06 AM · edited Sat, 30 March 2024 at 5:36 AM

Hi all,

I am Poser user, but I would like that daz studio user could use my items. The question is: does anyone know tutorials or have ideas how to work this out?

All my attempts produces issues: files not found, assets not read etc....

I explain what I do:

  1. import a poser prop to daz studio (that is working well)
  2. I select the item and save it as prop asset (this is working for one item, but not for several selected)
  3. Test: the items don't go in place, there are assets not found. I can't find a tutorial which explains all the processus or what I have to do exactly.

Could you help me ???? Irene

Hi Irene When you go to load a prop do you get a pop up saying "Can't find missing items make sure your path to Poser is set up correctly" with a locate button ? usually it is looking for a jpg?

A simpler option may be to save new materials presets for the items and have the user apply those. Especially if you have mat files (in the Poser Pose or Materials library) anyway - just give the DS files exactly the same name as the equivalent Poser setting and drop the .duf in the same folder (discarding the .png); DS will then use them instead of the Poser file (of course this does assume you are creating custom materials for DS).
