Subject: Misplaced my Blacksmith 3D v5 license

I've rebuilt my computer and it looks like I've misplaced my Blacksmith v5 license code.
I'm unable to register the upgrade to v6 purchased through Renderosity some time ago without that code.
All I find is these two files: Reg-B3D-Suite-v4.dat and reg-realitypaint-pro.dat
I had the code when I upgraded v5 but now I can't find it...

Please advice asap.

The reg-realitypaint-pro.dat is where your b3d v-5 registration key resides. You can open it with any text editor to copy the reg key and paste into the eligibility check field for the upgrade. And, we'll be glad to help if you have any additional problems.

Thanks for the fast reply!!!

I tested it earlier with the response that it was the wrong key, now I get this responce:

! This key has already been used to upgrade another key, or the license key you are trying to upgrade has already been upgraded with a different key.
! Demo mode. Save/export disabled.

Please advice

Oops, sorry I meant to add that to please make sure that you put your version 6 registration key in the top field and do not put anything in the upgrade field.  That little quirk is being fixed in the next update.

Ok, so I decided to test all possible combinations, here are the results:

If I put the new key in the (top)  "Registration Key" field I get a pop up with the message "Error registering software (error number 63812)

If I put the new key in the (bottom) "Upgrade Key" field I get a pop up with the message "The field 'Registration Key" must be completed

If I enter my old key in the top field and the new key in the below field I get the message described earlier.

If I enter them the other way around I get the response: !Upgrade Key provided is not a valid upgrade key.

Please advice

I'm sorry to hear you are having registration issues.  It's strange because our registration system is showing it was registered, so hopefully that's because you got it to work since your post this morning. It works properly for us without issue when testing it. Please make sure to fill-out your name in both fields along with your email address and the Pro-6 key only in the top field (and nothing in the upgrade field).

All information is entered but I still get the message that it is already registered.

If the software connects to your server during registration, and it is already marked as registered at your end,
that would explain the message "! This upgrade key has already been used to upgrade..."

Is it possible to delete the registration record at your end so the registration may follow through on my end as well?

 It appears that you are using an incorrect registration key. Our registration system allows for re-registration when needed, and we have tested your correct registration key to verify that it is working properly in our system.   I have emailed you a copy of the correct Pro-6 version 6.1.0.1 registration key, so you can make sure you are using the right one.

I updated my pc, New motherboard unfortunately my Reg-b3d-v4.dat is on the older Ide drive I have all sata ports, I purchased B3d v3 originally. How do i register again for a new dat file

Had to rebuild pc have lost my key :( have license for v6 and paying subscription for v7 cannot get key off of bs3d site ( error 500)... Help!

OK due to no support for the key I've cancelled the paypal payment and paid for an upgrade please amend my account accordingly

Ok, firstly..when you reply to an already existing thread only the original poster and the last person who posted gets a notification that you have posted. So if you have an issue, you need to start a NEW thread to get help. Otherwise it will not be seen.

Second..since BlackSmith3D is sold in the Renderosity marketplace, any product/order issues should be posted in the Customer Support Forum OR sent to store@renderosity.com so that multiple people will get your issue. 😄
