Hello, everybody.

I tried looking around for a beginner's forum in hopes of not repeating questions. I'm a longtime 2D animator, but wanted to try and expand my horizons a little bit. I was gifted a copy of Poser 8, and as I had a hard drive to spare, installed Mac OS X 10.6 (before they blocked Flash) to run the software. Poser 8 has installed completely, everything, as far as I can tell, is running fine.

(Please note, if I can get the hang of it, I fully intend to get a full version of current Poser. This just seemed like a cheaper way to see if I can do this.)

The problem is, working with this is taking a radical shift in my thinking. There are so many factors to consider to make a scene look good, and the tutorial that came with the software is kind of confusing. I also have the Poser 8 Revealed book, and it seems to assume a lot more familiarity with 3D animation in general than I have. Is there a beginner's forum that I should be posting to? I tried searching the site, but I can't find one.
