Hello everyone. Here is my problem: Adobe Photoshop doesn't recognize .PSD extension file.  Saying: Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file. This happens on both my computers with one file. Any suggestions as to what causes this?

Possibly something has messed up Photoshop's preferences. Try resetting Photoshop's preferences on launch (by holding down control-alt-shift as you launch the app). See this page for how to troubleshoot those: http://www.psd.repair/ You also might avoid it by turning off font previews (and that will be saved in preferences).

I have heard of this happening when the files extension is incorrect and usually with the png file format. Meaning that it even thou it says it is a PSD it might actually not be a PSD but another file extension like png, jpg or other image format. If you are experiencing the problem on multiple machines then the file is corrupt or misnamed changing the file extension might resolve this issue or trying to open a back up of the file if you have one.
