Okay, I just found out how to get this behavior.
In Windows>Preferences>Modeling Toolkit, by default it's set on 'Toggle out of component Mode' ("on pressing active component mode button..."), there's a option below to 'Use a Custom Command'. I just choose that and left the custom command empty, and now Maya stays in the same component mode, duh. :)

Hi guys,
In Maya 2014, while I'm loving what AD brought us with the modeling toolkit, I was wondering if there was any way to set it up so that when I use one of its quick button commands.
For example, 'Connect'. I'd like Maya to stay in the same type of component selection mode rather than reverting to object mode (and/or worse even, unselecting everything at times). By comparison, the usual 'Connect component' command from the Edit Mesh menu let us stay in edge mode after you click on it, for exemple.
I'm a bit curious/bothered as to why it's not the same when using the TK buttons.... any ideas or settings that I'd missed perhaps?
