Is there a convenient way to make objects visible only to one specific camera?

Like how "seen by camera" can be selected in the Compositing tag, but on a per-camera basis.

If there's a way to trigger a coffee/python script when the active camera is selected, that might work, but I'd need pointers on where to start with it.
