Does anyone know which version(s) of poser converted RSR to png?

I reinstalled Poser 8 (no patches), but that didn't help. I know 2012 doesn't do it. But, I can't remember if it was a particular patch to 8 that made it possible or if it was a particular patch to 7 that stopped it.

If anyone knows, please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it:)

Didn't Poser switch to .png with version 5 or Pro pack? I use RSRConv for the Mac os...

For windows P3do explorer converts rsr to png...

RSRConv is a free utility. P3do explorer is a fully featured windows poser utility, library manager, viewer, etc. Also free.

That looks windows-ee, and I'm on a mac. But, that would be a great tool!

I poked around my old mac pro, and there was still a working version of 7 rc 3, and it works well. So, I guess they stopped messing with RSRs with version 8. I wish they hadn't removed support for that, since there is a TON of older content that only has rsr.

See link for the free RSRConv above... does just what it says perfectly on the Mac.

Latest version is universal binary.

You simply drag and drop the rsr onto the icon and and RSRConv will create a copy of the rsr as a png in the same folder... It will not convert if a .png of the same name is also present. It also does batch conversion and merging.

What primorge said.

RSRConv rocks out.

Thanks guys!

My response was to willyb, whose program looks like the same thing, except for windows. I've downloaded RSRConv, and will use it next time. I did manage to get P7 to do the job, so I don't have anything to try it on right away.

Ugh, using P7 now is painful! As much as I hate the decision to add Flash to Poser, I must admit the new library in 2012 is so much better. The library in P8 is almost tolerable, but still kinda creaky. But, P7 (and presumably earlier) reminds me of the bad old days when we were stuffing MAT poses in the Camera area to avoid to have to dig through so many items in the main folder...crazy times...

Wow! This is a great little tool. Thanks so much for the recommendation, primorge. This tool is so much better than a similar tool I used quite some time ago (the old one would some times be unable to do the conversion).

Thanks much!

That would probably Mac converter by soft-rabbit.

Thankfully, most merchants and content creators have come to the realization that current versions of Poser files no longer require the usage of MacConverter ;)

...Most that is.
