hello, i need a bit of help please.  my problem is that there's no shadow under my hats , exactly between the edge and the top of my hats. i don't understand why, because meshes are good , all my hat is welded.

thank you very much if you can help

Try decreasing the "Shadow Min Bias" value on your light properties. The default is .8 inches which means it ignores things less than .8 inches from the thing causing the shadow. This is also why we get nostril glow on figures.

.02 is a much better value for Depth Mapped Shadows.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Also the quality of the shadow seems low. What is your Shadow Map Size? The default is fast but way too low. Try 1024 or 2048.

The little bright line at the edge of where the hat touches the mesh is a problem of using depth mapped shadows called a "light gap".  You can minimize it as Bill suggests by lowering the shadow bias and increasing shadow map resolution, maybe even to the point where you won't notice it any more, but it's fundamental to depthmapped shadows and it's just something you have to take into account when composing a scene and rendering.
