Just a blog for me to reference and keep track of my progress learning this program.
I've made a few dresses. I'm starting to get the hang of the texture mapping. Still waiting and hoping for something to come along to work with bone rigging. I have added a few morphs to the dresses so that helps.
My first attempt at making a model of an animal. Very basic, but I wanted it to be to have a toonish look.
My daughter pointed out,'he doesn't have any antenae Mom'.. d'oh!! lol.. I knew I forgot something.
Something weird happened with the mapping on the second though. One of the wings mapped the same as an antenae.. ?? Tried to correct it but didn't work. More practice with texturing..
He's still a really cute little guy to me. I was really shooting for cuteness, and to make him fuzzy like a bumble bee. I'll probably save some renders of him and tube those.
Off to next Hexagon adventure..
More Hexagon work:
simple planes curved for some leaves I scanned. Brought into Vue easel.
Was looking at Roger Dean's site the other day. He had made some mushroom house stage props for a theater. So was inspired to try to make a simple mushroom house.
Some rock formations. Maybe inspired a little again by Roger Dean. Went on vacation about a month ago and went on a cave tour during that time.. so some of the formations have been an inspiration too. Got quite a few good photos for reference, textures, and 3d objects.
Try my hand at a pumpkin.. did some 3d displace painting on the object (anyone know how to add more alpha brushes? I tried and for whatever reasons, it didn't work).
Tis the season..
In my efforts to have a 'green' Christmas, I decided not to put up lights to save energy and not purchase a tree.
To make up for it, so I don't miss the decorations, I've been busy making animations..
A couple of them were made with my vector shapes for PSP here:

Anyhoo, happy holidays for those celebrating and seasons greetings.
