I'm closing in on the last few renders for issue #1 and I have to say I'm feeling pretty good about it. There are definitely a few of the early renders that I'll want to go back and re-do with what I know now.

I'm actually running into a bit of a slow down in the writing portion. I'm into the beginning of issue #4 and having a little trouble as there is a bondage scene and I'm having to walk a very thin line. So far so good.

I've only got a few renders left until I've got all my renders for issue #1. Then all that's left is post production on a few of the pictures and then I can start putting the pages together.

I've also been posting on the Deviant Art website (www.deviantart.com then search for DrMcQuark).

I had hoped to have all the renders for "Tales From The Broken Promise" issue #1 finished over the weekend, but some of them took a little longer than I expected. I'm on page 18 of 22, so not too far.

I've also started posting some things on Deviant Art as well. If you want to check it out, the web address is below.

I know I'm really bad about updating my blog(s), but I'm going to try to make more of an effort to write.

It's great to have other artists provide comments and critiques because sometimes, in a rush to get something done, the little things often get overlooked. For example, in my recent piece "Checking on the 'Hostage'" one commentor caught that the man sitting seemed to be looking at the Doctor's navel. While not totally a bad idea (navels are sexy to me, probably because of Barbara Eden) the scene would work much better if he were looking at her face. A simple fix, but an amazing difference. I've re-rendered the piece which will be used in the final work.

I've taken advantage of the recent sale and picked up 2 vampires, an interesting bikini and a goth girl. At Adam Waithes site, he's released a new product called "Hero M4" which will allow me to make custom superhero outfits. I also took advantage of his BOGO sale and asked for the "Genie for V4 and A4". If you don't know his work, you need to check him out. He has to be one of the largest contributors of free Poser content including the best V4 poses available. I can't wait to play around with my new "toys".

While Ike isn't headed our direction, we're still feeling his affects. Yesterday and today we had some very bad storms, but they seem to be over.

I did get to work on the first mate and nearly have him finished. Using the Privateer outfit and some of it's options I have to say I'm pleased with the way he turned out.

I posted Captain James "Jolly" Rogers. He's in the unenviable position of trying to bring in Captain Fairview, the Star Witch. The task is made even more difficult by the fact that before Fairview turned pirate, they were... involved.

I have a couple more of the characters I've planned out to make, and then I need to fill out the background.

Still lots of work to do!
