I was born in a small village in the east of the Netherlands. When I was 24 I moved to the city of Rotterdam and worked as a sound engineer in studio’s. Done a lot of recordings for television and radio adds, CD-Roms and video postproduction. But also music recordings, mainly acoustic oriented Jazz and classical music. And I’ve taught Studio Engineering at an audio engineering school.
Later on I became more and more interested in the visual part of audiovisuals. As a coincidence the video-editor of the studio I worked for left, and they asked me if I would be interested in filling the gap.
That worked wonderfully and so I learned to edit, and being a rather small company, I also learned to handle the camera and do a fair bit of directing.
Today I’ve got my own AV-company and I am for hire as a cameraman or director / camera switcher for live events.
About six years ago I got interested in 3D.
Started off with Bryce and also a lot of frustration....
I then stopped for two years and started again about three years ago with Vue and Poser, that went much better! One year ago I started sculpting with ZBrush and I’m still learning...
My near future plans are to create 3D objects with Silo and ZBrush and sell them through websites like www.turbosquid.com, www.cornucopia3d.com and www.renderosity.com.
Also I downloaded the LE version of Maya.......well that is a different cookie, as we say in Holland. I don’t think there will ever be a stop to learning!!
My 3D website: www.charm3d.com where you can find more on my work, models and tip, tricks and tutorials!
