BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last ten years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my speciality. I use Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press. I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists. I have a blog, mostly about the resin dolls I collect, (and some art I am working on) at dollsartcats.blogspot.com. Collecting the Asian Ball-joined Dolls fits in well with my Poser addiction. (Poser dolls store flatter, though). When I have time I do acrylic paintings for fun ("Miranda", above is an 18 by 24 painting in acrylics, which was scanned in sections and reassembled in Photoshop for the web)
Commissions: I do book related projects and 2d still illustrations, generally as a licensed image (the fee ranges from 100 to 800 USD depending on the size of the project and the budget). I don't do animations or 3d model building. Lots of other people on Renderosity do this, though, and you can check on cgtalk.com as well. My images on Rosity are available in higher-res for licensing, unless they specifically say they were done for a client, and you may place them as decorations on your personal website as long as the signature and copyright remain visible, and there is no public "print" button available, like on DeviantArt or Photobucket.
I think that about covers it;-) Thanks for stopping by!
