Although Memorial Day began as a ritual of remembrance and reconciliation after America's Civil War, this day has since evolved into a more general sense of memory and reflection of deceased relatives whether they served in the military or not. Being that the Holiday is observed on the last Monday of the month of May, individuals also enjoy a long weekend devoted to family get-togethers, fireworks, trips to the beach and many more outdoor activities!

Regardless of the sale, as a veteran of the U.S. Army, and the first gulf war. I would just like to say thanks to Renderosity and the staff for just making the effort to remember all the veterans, past and presently serving. It's a lot more than some of the other well known sites are doing to honor, and remember us veterans on this holiday. I also find the attempt to educate folks about the holiday, really cool as well. So thanks Rendo..this vet really appreciates it. Even though I've no money to spend in the sale since my Veteran's disability and social security doesn't roll in till after the sale will be over. LOL
