Snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica. They are elongated, limbless reptiles of the suborder Serpentes. Many species of snakes have skulls with several more joints than their lizard ancestors and relatives, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads. To accommodate their narrow bodies, snakes' paired organs, such as kidneys, appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most only have one functional lung. Around thirty families of snake are currently recognized, comprising about 520 genera and about more than 4,170 species.

This add-on set to Nature’s Wonders Snakes includes snakes from the southern United States and Europe. This set includes the massive Eastern Diamondback, the iconic Black Swamp Snake, and the Cottonmouth/Water Moccasin of the Eastern United States. It also includes the Grass snake of Lithuanian and Latvian Folklore and the Aesculapian Snake which is featured on the medical and the pharmacological profession symbols.

The set has both native DAZ Studio and Poser versions and supports Iray, Firefly and Superfly render engines. The 3Delight renderer is no longer supported.
