You can use the skirt without dForce with some poses, but for best results you use the dForce simulation.
The skirt is optimized to fit with most body-morphs for Genesis 8 and 8.1. For other morphs the Auto-follow-system in Daz Studio will work very well. Using dForce will work anyway on different bodymorphs.
For even more flexibility you will find many adjustment morphs included to tweak it to your liking.
