Inspired by the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922 there have been a number of films inspired by ancient Egyptian mummies, whether it was the Curse of the Pharaohs or the famous 1932 film The Mummy with Boris Karloff in the title role. These mummies of the pre-code era of sound film were not very historically faithful, and even the makeup artistry was not yet at a level that could imitate the appearance of Egyptian mummies. And it is from this time and these old movie mummies that our today's model is inspired. A simple suit made of old bandages and rags quite believably imitates the appearance of mummies, but it is definitely not historically accurate. As a special bonus there are the special effect of the mummy's glowing body, shining through the gaps between the bandages. So enjoy these early times of movie horrors.
