Can't help seeing it as something of a missed opportunity. The city blocks are wonderfully detailed and obviously represent a lot of work creating them. I have blocks 1 - 13 with the 81 block base and it does create marvelous urban landscapes. But I only bought them as a heavily discounted bundle. Now I'm open to expand my collection with new blocks and compatible movie sets but the prices are still rather high for impulse buying. With an expanding series and the internet as a distribution method it would seem that profitability based upon a widening user base would be better long-term. So an opportunity to suck in future customers by a really exciting sale would definitely have increased the numbers who buy into future expansions. Me, I'll wait rather than buying random extra locations. Sorry but the general pricing/sale figures don't make for casual purchases
Yup, I see the same thing from PowerAge. The best most wanted models - 15% off if you're lucky. Dreamland used to have a bundle at 50% off, what happened? Sorry, no sale! I guess your guys have too many customers to provide a real value for your loyal customers that support you. Maybe we'll see you at Christmas time.
The Movie Sets are created to compliment each other, and the modelling and texture work is amazing. any percentage of discount with the size of the sets is a pretty measurable savings, considering the craftsmanship. The Artist has worked very hard to depict an era where life was simple, be kind and at least compliment his work, regardless of cost.
