After a few last steps the monster collapses over one of the barrels. Rebecca keeps her rifle aimed at it and waits. Her breath slowly calms down as she realizes that the monster will never rise again. Someone is shouting her name. Following the noise of the gun shots her friends rush towards her. She can hear them running through the water, calling her name. Then she can see artificial light filling the room. As the familiar faces of her friends appear, she begins to understand that she is safe now. She lowers her gun, steps back and leans against one of the crates. It is over. She feels so relieved that she closes her eyes and starts crying. She feels Nova's hand on her shoulder. She opens her eyes. Through her tears she sees the blurred image of her friends looking worried at her and shocked at the enormous cadaver of the dead creature. More tears of relieve flow down her cheek. It is over.
