For a first Bryce render, this is great! I don't know how many people will look at this and tell you not to use the default Bryce stars (happened to me several times). Perhaps use a higher resolution on the mountains to avoid that jagged look as well. Otherwise, from one learning Brycer to another, good job. (Check out the forums, they're full of good tips)

First of all ... don't use the default Bryce stars ;) ... Only joking. I recently got Bryce but haven't made any real attempt to use it yet.. too many other things on the go for now.... but when I do, I hope I can make as good a start as this.

I really like the trees and other foilage..and the perspective. I think the mountains could be smoothed a bit and- like airlynx suggested, the res be set higher in the terrain editor (try 512)..but, overall it's a great scene and moodpiece.

Great Job!

Geez,.........great first image. Try using some DEM files for mountains(do a Google search for DEM files), they can then be altered in the terrain editor. Looking forward to your next image.
