Description

Here's another poem I wrote quite a while ago. I have a pretty wide collection o' stuff written even if I haven't written much poetry lately. Anyway, here you go :) Maybe I'm a Dragon by David Levins [midrael] Wings outspread, lifting me into the night Soaring amongst the stars and the pale moon All disappearing with the coming of the light A fantasy brought to an end all too soon. I've dreamt that I was a dragon A noble breed, full of courage and love Strength and honor and a heart as soft as satin A knight protecting my lady from high above. I felt the wind beneath my mighty wings And I felt my throat rumble with my roar I had a sense of majesty envied by kings And a purity that enveloped my very core. Yet when all is said and done it was still a dream I still find myself wanting for love and purpose But each night when the room fills with moonbeams A dragon wakes and looks for his mistress.
