Creating characters is a wonderful thing, each one grows and becomes a special part of me. From Evelyn and Fae right through to Isla and Scorpio, each one represents a new direction, ambition and volition. Of course I love little more than showing them to the world and hoping that some understand or even come to feel just how much each one means to me. The past year has been a tough one for me, friends having come along for the ride and at the time of asking exposed themselves as little more than wolves and parasites hoping to exploit the worlds and stories I craft. I have become more reclusive than ever before, doing little short of fully isolating myself and breaking away from the social world that causes me so much dismay. Yet deep down I know that just as before all I have to do is weather the storm and eventually when I chase those clouds away I will find a desire to stand in the sun again. Of course this isn't the first time I have faced these hard moments before but this time was different, it was personal and that had a deeper impact, forcing me to lose faith in what I love so deeply. The knock on effect was that I found myself drifting away from what really fuels my fire and love for writing stories and images to combine into an experience that I hope allows other to feel something deeper still. After time reflecting in solace I found my spark again, but still I'm wary, that is something that I am working on, rebuilding my trust in this social world again. I sat down alone writing pieces for Isla and Scorpio, rekindling that eternal burning flame to craft beings of both power, majesty and beauty, helped me to get back in touch with why I desire to sculp beings and tomes. Yet my known characters are only truly half of the story, there are many others I have been working, some never getting stories or even names. However as part of my personal rejuvenation, they helped me find a new theory to work upon, a eureka moment, lets go back to basics. A silent story told purely through my love to create beings of beauty and worlds to inspire. Crafted not only for you, but also for me, a little way to help me get back in touch again.
