Description

It’s time. It’s past time. We need a little light. The days have been far too dark of late. I have to apologize – It’s been a while since I’ve been anything like active here the last few weeks. I’ve tried to keep up with comments, but otherwise, I’ve been kind of a stranger. Without going into a lot of unnecessary details, I’ll suffice it to say I’ve been dealing with one of the worst episodes of depression I’ve had in probably 40 – 45 years. With all the bullshit going on in the world, plus a lot of discouraging things here to deal with it’s been a real challenge just to get out of bed in the mornings. But I’m slowly coming back, I think. I’ve done this before, and I will prevail. Part of it is this continual downhill slide of this area we live in. When we moved here in 2003, it was a nice, peaceful, typical mid-American neighborhood. Not so much anymore. If it’s not loud, obnoxious ‘boom-cars’ blasting that damn rap-shit loud enough to wake the dead, we now have a large population of jackasses with extremely loud motorcycles that love to race up and down the streets all night. Don’t these people have jobs? How do they get the $$$$ it takes to do all those expensive “upgrades” (i.e. tuned exhaust pipes) for their bikes? Sigh… Today was the first really nice day, so we got out and did a little preliminary yard work and visited with a couple of the good neighbors still left. And I got my Spring intel report from Dennis across the street. Not encouraging. Anyway, I’m not going to go into a lot of crap here. I’ll be posting an update on my blog in a day or three, and I have a link to it below. The good news: I’m feeling a good deal better, and getting back to doing some work on….. yes……. TNA. I know it’s been a while, but the Girls will be back in action soon! I hope everyone is doing ok, despite all the chaos going on. These are really the times that try anyone's soul! Our neighborhood has seen the steady slide about exactly as you describe for yours! But I'm afraid we are committed to staying here for the duration! Afraid going to another location will just wind up being the same and possibly even worse, if that is possible! Like you said to one of my castle pictures, when can I move in. Give me a few dragons to keep the riff raff away and the noise levels down! LOL! Glad to hear you are working through your depression! Depression sucks, I know from experience. Sometimes it's all you can do to make it to the end of the day, but it's great to hear you're coming out of it. Keep going!

I am sorry for your emotional malaise, Rod. As a grumpy old person I feel that the world, for all it's modern conveniences and advances, is being taken over by very selfish people. :(

On the other hand, there is light in visions like the simple piece you shared here. I love her relaxed pose and the light shining from the energy globe that illuminates her face. I hope you will be feeling better and am grateful for the work that you shared here!

I came here to see if you'd posted again, and you have. (Ebots stopped working for me since this last RR change. Some fine additions, but ebots left me again. So I came here on a hunch...) Rod, you have a right to be exhausted and depressed. You have worked on your place, and living with the changes all around you (where you live) for a long time, while the world at large has struggled on all levels. It takes its toll. And being our age makes it harder. I'm sorry for all your struggle, and boy I really hope your home issues are solved soon, so you can get the place you want, and make the big move. If I could wave a magic wand, believe me, I'd wave it with all my might. I ordered several from Amazon, so who knows: Maybe they'll work...

Love how your sexy beautifully posed model touches this swirling light. It's almost like an eyeball, but it's also an orb. As others have said, she's sexy and of course always well done, in her pose, light, shade, posture, etc. The color of her suit matches all the purples in the piece. And she looks on the orb with wonder. Beautiful lights around her too (behind her knees and her upper back. In fact those upper lights are almost like wings!!!) I wish you light, Rod, a path opening up, and ease at last. If I could wave that wand...Take good care and feel better! Snd all the best with the last phases of your move.

Hey, Mark! Thanks as always for your insightful and wonderful comments and support! I checked a couple times last week, but those Magic Wands are still on back-order.

Yeah, it seems like about every 2 years or so the powers-that-be at Renderosity decide they can't leave well enough alone, and hoark up the site - and then take 6 months or more to get everything working again. It's getting old. There's enough to deal with these days without our favorite art site being a pain in the ass. I'm wondering if it's even worth sticking around. I probably will - at least for now.
