Description

-o§o- This photo was also taken in this wonderful region of Provence, this time next to the village of Roussillon, in the former open-pit ochre quarries, where the cliffs are streaked with red and gold at the heart of an area extending over 25 kms. Ochre extraction and mining reached a peak in the 1930s, as ochre was used for its pigmentary properties in sectors as varied as art, masonry, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
-o§o- The contrasts between the red and gold colours and the green of the pinewood forest here and there nearby was a great moment of fascination for me and all those who have nicknamed the area the ... 'Provençal Colorado' for quite some time !...

J'ai eu l'occasion de leur dire qu'ils ne devraient pas appeler ce magnifique endroit "colorado provençal", d'une part en raison de la taille réduite et, d'autre part, parce qu'ils n’ont pas besoin d'une référence états-unienne pour le promouvoir...je suis un peu chatouilleux parfois ! Mais revenons à ta photo qui est de toute beauté.

Magnifique photo, moi j'adore la Provence, ce qui m'enerve un peu c'est le vent, on est jamais bien coiffée labas (sur tout dans le village des bories avec ses arbres d'olives tordues par le vent)!!

Boah! Dieser Kontrast zwischen den roten Felsen und den grünen Bäumen! So etwas Grandioses muss man einfach mit der Kamera einfangen. Ich würde mir jedenfalls mein Leben lang Vorwürfe machen, hätte ich so eine fantastische Szene verpasst! Wie immer Kopfkino und Augenfutter! Fantastisch gemacht!
