I like this a lot, but perhaps the composition could be improved by applying the "rule-of-thirds", ie. putting the lion more toward the left.

Looks freaking perfect. The soft african sunlight. You can clearly see that the color palette goes in just 1 direction, really fitting to the scene. Great work.

Thank you, Robert_Ripley. I keep forgetting to mention using NikShell in GIMP with my last few submissions, so a lot of the lighting effects are thanks to that handy plugin.
