Description
In a distant star system, some early people on a mostly desert planet gather round the campfire for stories and shaman tricks. Thousands of years from this point, they will achieve interstellar travel and discover our world, though when they find us we will be much like the people in this image. So they will leave behind a portal, so that when we "come of age" we can discern the portal's secrets and find our way to their world.
Based on a story my brother wrote. His story takes place in our present and follows a small group of people who discover the portal device hidden on private property on a huge acreage ranch in the west (Wyoming? Utah?) He wanted an image of the aliens in their past and wanted to draw a parallel with the first peoples of North America.

Your image is really excellent great characters and lighting from the fire however I'm even more intrigued by what you say of the story written by your brother that most definitely sounds interesting
